As we
head south, looking up at the RR ROW, we see two switching boxes.
These boxes served the Rockaway Beach southbound junction from the eastbound
Atlantic Branch. This location was called "Woodhaven Junction".
Notice how
this section "juts-out" in to the roadway. The Woodhaven Junction
tracks once ran on top of this section, as the tracks gradually merged
in to the Rockaway Beach Branch.
